Q. Where is your study area located? Thai-Burma Border.
Q. What is your focus of research? Grassroots Resistance to State Dominance in Burma; Democratization; Migration and Ethnic Identity.
Q. Why did you choose NIU? NIU has the only Center for Burma Studies in the country along with a brilliant Center for Southeast Asian Studies. The anthropology at NIU houses several prestigious scholars in the field of Southeast Asia studies.
