Our spring legislative briefing session provides alumni, staff, faculty and NIU supporters with an insider's preview of the University’s legislative request. Hosted by the Alumni Association and Government Relations, the legislative briefing is designed to inform advocates of the university's key messages and what they can do to help garner support at the state capitol to maintain a strong higher education system.
Hundreds of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends of NIU firmly believe in higher education's role in pushing our state forward. These citizens actively engage elected officials about the University's initiatives and other key issues. They write to their elected officials. They write letters to the editor of their paper. They attend events. They share their stories. Everything counts! You can help.
