- Acute care and rehabilitation hospitals
- Outpatient clinics
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Homes
- Schools
- Athletics facilities and
- Universities, to name a few.
In these diverse settings, physical therapist perform such diverse Activities and treatments as
- Assisting people with low back pain to return to daily Activities
- Providing exercise programs and postural training to prevent musculoskeletal problems in pregnant women
- Keeping Olympic athletes at peak performance through injury prevention and treatment
- Participating as team members in highly specialized areas such as burn units, transplant units and neonatal intensive care units
- Assisting the elderly to live independently in the community
