Rehabilitation Counseling Program Objectives

In addition to the departmental missions and goals, the rehabilitation counseling program seeks to address the following objectives:

  1. To provide a comprehensive graduate curriculum and related fieldwork experiences in rehabilitation counseling
  2. To recruit qualified minority students and individuals with disabilities to enter the field of rehabilitation counseling.
  3. To provide a comprehensive array of support services and mentorship opportunities to enhance the likelihood of success for students from traditionally underrepresented groups including persons with disabilities, women, and members of racial or ethnic minority groups.
  4. To graduate highly qualified, professionally prepared rehabilitation counselors
