Northern Illinois University offers Campus Walking Tours at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays (excluding holidays, closure days and Open House dates). Campus Tours are at 12 noon only on Saturdays. These daily walking tours leave from the NIU Office of Admissions, 101 Williston Hall, on the DeKalb, Illinois campus. Tours are approximately 1 hour in duration. No reservations are required.
Saturday tours are offered during the academic year between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends, September through May, (excluding holidays & closure days). Weekday walking tours are offered throughout the year except when the university is closed or offering the Open House programs. Bus tours of campus are part of the Open House programs in lieu of walking tours.

NIU's Open Houses are offered four times during the academic year on the NIU campus. The NIU Open House programs offer bus tours of campus, many campus wide events, a large information fair and guided visits to the NIU Residence Halls.
