NIU's choices are your opportunities!

Choosing an academic major means learning about the career opportunities that are related to it. Use Major Web Links now to find detailed career information for all of NIU's undergraduate academic majors.

Faculty and staff advisers are available within each college and department to provide students with accurate information on academic programs, policies, procedures and deadlines. Advisers help students select a major, design a program of study, map out a schedule, monitor academic progress and clarify career goals.

The Academic Advising Center assists students who have not chosen a major with identifying major and career options, choosing appropriate courses, clarifying life and educational goals and utilizing university resources.
