Feedback

This tutorial is maintained by staff volunteers at the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning and they do their best to correct any mistakes in the content or problems encountered in the use of the tutorial. But they cannot provide technical support to users or diagnose problems with users' computers, internet connections or browsers.

The tutorial has been proof-read with the help of staff at the university's Writing Center and department of English, and has been tested by several faculty, staff, and student volunteers to the best of their abilities. But as it is the case with any freeware that is continuously being revised with users' feedback, some minor mistakes or problems that did not surface during the testing of this tutorial could be identified by users. The development team appreciates receiving constructive and specific feedback on any mistakes or problems identified by users.

If you encountered any problems related to not being able to view or print the certificate after taking the quizzes, it was most likely related to opening the tutorial by clicking the link for it in another software such as Blackboard, Word, etc. As mentioned on the main page of this tutorial, do not open the tutorial by clicking a link for it through another software such as Blackboard, Word, etc. Close the browser and other open software such as Blackboard, Word, etc. Open the browser and type in the tutorial URL directly on the browser and open it. Before clicking the "Get Started" Button, please make sure cookies are enabled, disable pop-up blockers, and close other software such as Microsoft Office, Blackboard, chat, music, email, etc. After making sure of these, try the quizzes again.

Some problems encountered by users when using the tutorial may be related to the use of non-java enabled browsers, local computer's settings, and interference from other software running on the local computer at the same time when this tutorial is being used, or the constraints on the type of access to the internet. But before reporting any problems encountered with the tutorial users are urged to make sure of the following requirements first:

  • browser cookies have been enabled
  • the pop-up blocker is disabled
  • and any other software running on the computer is not interfering with the tutorial
