
Work Study/Internship Opportunities
All motivated undergraduate and/or graduate students who are interested in utilizing their skills and experience through an internship experience, have a desire to assist in the development of the center, and are motivated to help create a dynamic team, are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Candidate must be an NIU student; have the ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary; demonstrate evidence of leadership and communication skills; exhibit sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations; and present the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships. It is preferred that the candidate has experience with student organizations, has knowledge of campus resources, and has related cultural experience.

Para-Professional Training - Sunday, August 21, 2011, 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
The selected Student Partners will participate in a mandatory training, which will cover the center's policies, crisis emergency response, university regulations, and general office maintenance and administration protocol.
Individual Interview Session: You will have an individual interview with the Asian American Center's Staff. This is your opportunity to shine and go into more detail about your qualifications, interests and fit for this position.
