Sinehan (Movie Screening) “With Honor” Enacted and directed by NIU students who are now Alumni. “With Honor” depicts the experience and loyalty of Filipinos who, were promised U.S. citizenship for their military service but after the war were then denied not only citizenship, but all rightful veteran benefits.  Recently, on September 28, 2013 democratic members of Illinois’ congressional delegation introduced a bill to restore full veterans’ benefits to all Filipino-Americans who fought in World War II http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Illinois-Democrats-seek-benefits-for-Filipino-vets-4852067.php.
