The Study Abroad to China: Leadership, Service Learning, & Culture (Summer 2012) supports NIU’s Vision 2020 Strategic Plan. This program will be coordinated by Asian American Center, Center for Black Studies, Latino Resource Center, and Study Abroad Office at NIU. This is the first time that three NIU diversity centers are working together to create a unique study abroad experience to China. The trip will involve a diverse cohort of 15 undergraduate students. Participants will engage in a leadership exchange, community service activities, and experience Chinese culture as well as learn about each of the travelers’ cultures represented in the group.
