New in 2014

NIU's departments and colleges are always adding new camps to their line up of popular favorites like Speech, Athletics, and Engineering Amusement. Check out some of the exciting new camps we're offering in 2014!

  • The College of Engineering and Engineering Technology is offering a new camp in 2014

Engineering Summer Academy- July 13-18: The Engineering Summer Academy (ESA) program is a one week engineering camp for students entering the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. This intensive summer camp challenges students to explore a specific area of engineering. Students will perform several hands-on learning experiments in our state-of-the-art laboratories working alongside engineering faculty, alums, and current students. 

  • STEM Outreach is offering a new camp in 2014

Preventing the Robopocalypse- June 15-20: High School Campers will use Daniel Wilson's Robopocalypse as a basis to explore robotics, art and design, and creative writing. They will work with STEM, art, and writing experts to build and program Lego Mindstorm robots, create conceptual designs for human-helping robots, and write stories about the robots.
