Tumultuous Temperatures: Winter Bites Again

Winter 2013/14 brought extreme weather conditions. What exactly is the polar vortex? Should we expect highly erratic temperatures and winds as our planet experiences global climate change? NIU climatologist, David Changnon, Professor of Geography, will examine meteorological conditions, climatological anomalies, and regional impacts of severe weather conditions.
