NIU to host open house Friday, March 21
DeKalb – Northern Illinois University will hold an open house for prospective students, families and friends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 21, in the Holmes Student Center, located at Lucinda Avenue and Normal Road in DeKalb.
Visitors to the DeKalb campus will have an opportunity to meet representatives from admissions, the faculty, academic programs and student services. Financial aid representatives also will be on hand. Open house activities include a student-led campus bus tour, residence hall visits and a university information fair.
Many of NIU’s academic colleges and departments will host individual open houses, including:
- College of Business
- College of Education
- College of Engineering and Engineering Technology
- College of Health and Human Sciences
- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
- School of Art
- School of Music
- School of Nursing and Health Services
- School of Theatre and Dance
- Career Services
- Science Laboratory
- Student Recreation Center
No reservations are needed for the open house or any connected activities. Free parking will be provided at the Convocation Center with shuttle buses to the Holmes Student Center.
