DeKalb — Northern Illinois University’s Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic will offer free hearing aid demonstrations Friday, Nov. 3.
Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the clinic on Lucinda Avenue across from the Campus Life Building. Space is limited. Call (815) 753-1481 to make an appointment.
Opened in 1938, the clinic is open year-round and annually provides speech-language assessments, family-based treatment and other services to 4,000 different people, from babies to great-grandparents. Outreach speech-language and hearing screenings reach thousands living in DeKalb, Boone, DuPage, Kane, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties.
