Motley Fools to visit NIU April 7
DeKalb, Ill. — The Northern Illinois University College of Business will offer investors a jester's-eye-view of the stock market at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, when it hosts David and Tom Gardner, founders of The Motley Fool, the world's premier multi-media financial education company.
The Gardners will speak in the Barsema Hall Auditorium on the NIU campus as part of the Executive Speaker Series for the NIU College of Business Alumni. Their presentation is titled “What Happened and What Next.”
The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Tickets can be obtained by contacting the NIU College of Business Alumni Office by phone at (815) 753-7068 or (815) 753-1433, or via e-mail at chintzsche@niu.edu or braffet@niu.edu . Reservations must be made no later than April 1.
The Gardner brothers are dedicated to educating, amusing and enriching individuals in search of financial truth. The brothers derived their company name from a tradition in Elizabethan drama where only the court Jester, the fool, could tell the king the truth without losing his head. Since 1993, The Motley Fool has been on hand helping people achieve financial independence across a wide variety of online and traditional media channels including their award winning Web site, their bestselling books, a nationally syndicated newspaper column and The Motley Fool Radio Show.
Following the presentation, a reception will be held in the Barsema Hall atrium. Attire for this event is business casual.
