NIU President John Peters to deliver
annual State of the University Address
inside historic Altgeld Hall
DeKalb — Northern Illinois University President John G. Peters will deliver his annual State of the University Address at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in the auditorium of historic Altgeld Hall.
This is the first formal speech at Altgeld Hall since completion of the five-year renovation of the “Castle on the Hill,” the oldest building on campus, and will offer the university community and the media a look inside. A rededication ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. during open house hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
