Sister Patti Hannon returns to NIU
saving guilty souls from sin

DeKalb – Have you ever felt guilty? Well, that’s probably because you are. Don’t worry, Sister Patti Hannon will tell you all your wrongdoings – and then some!

The Northern Illinois University Campus Activities Board Fine Arts Committee is proud to present “Late Nite Catechism 2: The Sequel” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium of the Holmes Student Center.

Written by Maripat Donovan, this one-nun play makes its NIU debut with an evening of religious talk, and this time there’s no holding back. Sister Patti will lecture on the nature of sin through methods of improvisation and audience participation. Picked as a “best bet” by the Los Angeles Times, “Late Nite Catechism” offers a variety of lessons in the classroom by means of overhead projectors, mimeographed handouts, felt banners, historical facts and hysterical insights.

Previous to this newly constructed late-night lecture, “Late Nite Catechism” held more than 38,000 performances in the United States, in addition to Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The show also received nominations from the Outer Critics Circle and the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. Based in New York City, Entertainment Events Inc. once again brings an exciting show that is sure to sweep the country and live up to its sister’s name.

Tickets for the show are on sale at the CAB box office located on the ground floor of the Holmes Student Center, or charge by phone at (815) 753-3146. Prices are $7 for NIU students with ID; $16 for children ages 8-18, senior citizens ages 65 and older, and NIU faculty and staff; and $19 for general public. The Fine Arts Series is funded in part by the NIU Student Association and the Illinois Arts Council. Promotional assistance is provided by the Daily Chronicle, the MidWeek and WDKB 94.9 (B-95).
