Women's Studies offering Mother's Day cards
DeKalb, Ill.--NIU's Women's Studies Program is making gift-giving easy for Mother's Day (May 9).
With a contribution to help endow the Mothers Memorial Scholarship Fund, Women's Studies will send your honoree a beautiful and unique card. The cards feature NIU's 2004 design for Women's History Month.
"This is a gift that will continue giving to the NIU community for years to come," said Amy Levin, director of Women's Studies.
NIU established the Mothers Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2002. It honors those who are or act as mothers to members of the NIU community. The fund will be used to provide scholarships to upper division and graduate students at NIU whose career goals are aimed at improving the lives of women, including through education, research, advocacy, support or policy-making.
