Open a Huskie Bucks Account

Huskie Bucks is a pre-paid debit account that can be set up for use with a OneCard ID at any time of the year.  Depending on the method used, the account may be active immediatley, in a few days, or at the beginning of the next semester. 
 
Minimum Deposit:  There is a minimum first-time deposit of $25.00. The initial deposit can be larger if necessary.
 
Minimum Balance:  For convenience, the minimum balance that must be maintained in a Huskie Bucks Account is $0.00.
 
Fees:  There are no annual fees, over-limit charges or late payment fees with the Huskie Bucks Program.  However, checks that are written to the university and are returned as non-sufficient funds are are subject to a fee.  Additionally, inactive accounts are closed after one year.  For more information, see the last page of the PDF Document below.

Residence Hall Student

Most students living in the Residence Halls open a Huskie Bucks Account through Housing and Dining. When students fill out their housing contracts, the dollar amount requested (usually $200, $250 or $300) is automatically set to be active in the students' Huskie Bucks Accounts for the upcoming semester. The bill for the dollar amount deposited is simply added to the bill with tuition that is sent home each semester. For more information contact Housing and Dining at (815) 753-1525.


All Other Students, Faculty, and Staff 

You must complete the Huskie Bucks Account Agreement.  You may download the Huskie Bucks Account Agreement or come to our office to pick up a copy.
