I chose my major because … I have always been interested in business, and ever since I took a high school accounting class, I have wanted to major in it.

My favorite class or professor at NIU is … Jeff Reynolds, economics professor. He makes class very enjoyable. He was funny and helped me learn economics better than previous instructors. He also used great real examples that helped explain things clearly.

My favorite thing to do on campus is … go to Huskie athletics, especially football, baseball and basketball, because I love sports and it is so much fun to root on our great teams.

Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is  … the Recreation Center because I can go over there and play basketball or racquetball and get some exercise and have fun. It gives me a chance to get away from school and have fun.

When I have free time, I like to … keep up with my favorite sports teams: the Chicago Bears and Cubs.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … all the things there are to do and get involved in right when you get here. Get involved early with anything you are interested in.

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … my ability to accomplish anything I set my mind to, whether it is in the classroom or outside, such as being an NIU orientation leader.

If I was guaranteed success, I would ... find the cure for multiple sclerosis to help my father, who has it.

After graduation, I plan to … possibly get my master’s in accountancy and CPA, and then work for one of the major public accounting firms.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be ... working as an orientation leader and having the opportunity to welcome the new students to this great school.
