I chose my major because … I have always been into sales and promotions, and I think marketing has the perfect combination of what I see myself doing in the future, hopefully at a fashion company.

My favorite class or professor at NIU is … English 103/104 with Mrs. Rickett.

My favorite thing to do on campus is … working out at the Recreational Center and, when it’s nice out, walk around campus.

Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … downtown DeKalb. I love walking around, eating and shopping. It feels like an olden day town, which is something new. Back home, my town is nothing like it.

When I have free time, I like to … watch Friends, my favorite TV show.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … to be ready to miss your mom’s cooking.

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … I have learned that I am a very independent person, and I love it.

If I was guaranteed success, I would ... make sure to not stress out about school so much and possibly take a year off to travel around the world, especially with a stop at the Greek Isles.

After graduation, I plan to … start graduate school to get an MBA in marketing or take a semester off and go to India to spend a good four to five months with my family there, something that I have never really had time to do.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be ... this summer. I was an orientation leader, and I think that this summer was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Living with nine other leaders and working together was an absolute blast.
