I chose my major because … I really like working with people, and I am fascinated by anything in the health field.
My favorite class or professor at NIU is … Eric Mogren, because he made history an amazing topic to study by providing us with not so commonly known facts about events and people.
My favorite thing to do on campus is … go to NIU games — football, basketball, softball, you name it!
Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … the clubs and organizations. Just knowing that there were over 200 to choose from as an incoming freshman really showed me how diverse NIU's students are.
When I have free time, I like to … hang out with my boyfriend, go to the Rec, go shopping at Geneva Commons or just hang out at the Delta Gamma house with my friends.
One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … how different studying in college is from high school. You really do have to start from scratch and develop a study plan that works for you.
One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … I have the ability to lead and make a difference on campus through my experiences and actions.
If I was guaranteed success, I would … travel the world and climb Mount Everest, but that is a goal of mine anyway!
After graduation, I plan to … either earn an advanced degree and become a nurse practitioner or attend medical school to become a doctor.
The one NIU experience I will always remember will be … the nights I hang out with my friends. I know it won't be the same when we leave college and aren't all together, so I cherish every moment I have with them.
