I chose my major because … I tore my right quad in two places during my junior year of high school and was in therapy for over three months. After being in therapy, I realized helping other people recover was the career for me.

My favorite class or professor at NIU is … Dr. Hosmane, because he makes the difficult topic of chemistry very fun; also, he is a very fair professor.

One of my favorite things to do on campus is … to run to Mango’s with my roommate and get a smoothie because Mango’s has really good smoothies!

Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … intramural sports and all the activities NIU provides. Through these activities I am able to meet some amazing people that influence my experience here. I have met some of my best friends through the activities NIU provides.

When I have free time, I like to … run around the campus and hang out with my friends.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … nothing really. I have an older brother who told me what college was like and what to expect.

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … that I manage my time very well. I realized that I put my studies and school before anything else and it has had a positive effect on my G.P.A.

If I was guaranteed success, I would … find cures for everything I could; I would further my education; I would speak to kids about the importance of their bodies and that using drugs can harm them. I would attempt everything because I was guaranteed success.

After graduation, I plan to … I plan to work at a private physical therapy practice or a hospital. Also, I plan to travel outside the country and live there for a while. I am actually training my puppy to be a therapy dog, so I will also be using him in my practice.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be ... right after the shooting when our NIU community came together. Also, all the other schools that supported us in our time of need showed the nation that no matter how far away you are people come to your aid when you really need it.
