I chose my major because … it is my passion. I could not see myself having a career that I don't love.
My favorite class or professor at NIU is … Cindy Hellyer Heinz, because she is extremely committed to her classes and is always willing to help. She is very energetic and her enthusiasm inspires me to be successful.
My favorite thing to do on campus is … explore all of the new and exciting things that NIU has to offer.
Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … the Student Involvement and Leadership Development office in the Campus Life Building. They do an amazing job organizing activities/clubs for students to get connected with the university, peers and the community.
When I have free time, I like to … relax at the East Lagoon or hang out with my friends.
One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … the importance of getting involved. Balancing classwork and campus involvement creates a strong and unforgettable college experience.
One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … that I have the potential to reach out to the community and make a difference.
If I was guaranteed success, I would … travel the world and take pictures.
After graduation, I plan to … get my master's and become a photographer or an art teacher.
The one NIU experience I will always remember will be … the first week on campus in the residence halls. I will always remember meeting my amazing friends and learning together from the new experiences that would arise.
