I chose my major because … I love to help people, and psychology is a career that no matter what area of it you choose, you are helping people.

My favorite class or professor at NIU is … PSYC 316 (abnormal psychology) because it is so interesting to learn about all of the different and difficult things people go through in their everyday lives that most of us never experience.

My favorite thing to do on campus is … to play soccer at Huskie Stadium.

Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … the Yordon Center, because it has opened up doors for all athletes both athletically and academically.

When I have free time, I like to … relax and hang out with my friends.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … that there is so much reading involved in your classes compared to high school. The teachers don’t just spoon-feed you information.

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … that I can handle whatever the world throws at me as long as I stay positive.

If I was guaranteed success, I would … try out for the new Professional Women’s Soccer League that starts next year.

After graduation, I plan to … attend graduate school to become a sports/exercise psychologist.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be … Feb. 14 and how one day can change your life forever.
