I chose my major because … it is a very practical field in the world of business and it offers an array of opportunities. I also chose it because I am able to explore various subjects and apply them to the real world.

My favorite class or professor at NIU is … Accountancy 450 (Tax) with Professor Brad Cripe because he makes the subject extremely interesting with his humor and wit.

My favorite thing to do on campus is … go to the Huskies Den with friends to just relax and have fun. They have different activities such as bowling, pool and poker that anyone can participate in for pretty cheap.

Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … being a part of Campus Activities Board (CAB). It is a great organization and it has exposed me to different facets of the university that I otherwise would not have known existed.

When I have free time, I like to … go to the movie theater (Market Square) with friends to watch recently released movies.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … how diverse the university is and how you have to be open-minded enough to accept everyone in order to really enjoy yourself and all that the university offers.

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … I am a very responsible individual and I am capable of making important decisions with good judgment.

If I was guaranteed success, I would … travel the world so I can experience and enjoy a lot of the cultures around the world.

After graduation, I plan to … become a CPA and attend law school to become a tax attorney, but I ultimately want to open and head a not-for-profit organization that will assist the underprivileged with their taxes.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be … being a part of Campus Activities Board because it has taught me many valuable lessons about work ethic, people and just life in general.
