I chose my major because … accounting is a degree that can provide unlimited possibilities.
My favorite class or professor at NIU is … UBUS 223 with Mr. McDonald. He can be a challenging professor, but I liked his teaching style and how he treated every student fairly and equally.
My favorite thing to do on campus is … to go play basketball at the Rec. I am constantly awed by the intensity, talent and physical abilities that I witness there.
Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … the helpfulness of the professors, which is not limited to just teaching the course material. Many professors have encouraged me to take the right path to accomplish my future aspirations.
When I have free time, I like to … be around my friends. I’d like to spend as much time with them before we go our separate ways.
One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … how fun and hard it can be at the same time.
One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … anything is possible with hard work. I try not to doubt myself without attempting anymore.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be … the Disney College Program. During that semester, I have met the best people and had the best memories that I will treasure forever. It was definitely a life-changing experience.
