Edward Klonoski holds the B.M. degree from Marywood College, the M.M. degree from Southern Methodist University, where he held a teaching assistantship, and the Ph.D. from Ohio State University, where he held a teaching associateship. While at Ohio State, he was recognized for outstanding academic achievement and twice received awards for excellence in teaching. Prior to arriving at NIU, Dr. Klonoski taught music theory and aural skills at Capital University and Ohio State. His areas of specialization include levels theory, particularly Schenkerian theory, and music theory pedagogy.
