J.E. (Ted) Hatmaker is a visiting assistant professor teaching music theory and aural skills. He holds a Ph. D. in music theory from the University of Iowa. Dr. Hatmaker is on the Board of Directors of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra, where his responsibilities include chairing the music committee, writing program notes, and presenting pre-concert lectures. He has made numerous presentations to professional societies, has programmed software for music instruction, and is Music Director at St. George Orthodox Church in Cicero, Illinois.
