Dr.Jui-Ching Wang is Assistant Professor of Music Education at Northern Illinois University where she teaches music education and world music courses and direct Indonesian gamelan ensemble. Dr. Wang received her bachelor’s degree in music from
Prior to her studies in the United States, Jui-Ching taught general music and piano, and directed choirs and recorder ensembles at middle school levels in Taiwan. While completing graduate course work at
She was a Preparing Future Faculty Fellow (2001-2003) and Arts Bridge Scholar (2002-2003) at ASU and Editorial Assistant of the Journal of Historical Research in Music Education (2002-2003). As an active researcher and clinician, Jui-Ching has published articles in The Performing Arts, Taipei Chinese Music, Journal of Aesthetics Education, and Journal of Band Research. She has presented papers at Arizona State Music Educators Association Conference (AMEA), the Illinois State Music Educators Association All-State Conference (IMEA), the MENC national conference, and international conferences, such as the International Society for Music Education (ISME).
