We are excited to introduce two very exciting programs for Fall 2015: First is program titled “Net Nutrition” which will allow you to get web based nutritional information about the foods you eat or would like to eat served in the dining centers. Second, is the introduction of the “Healthy Huskies” program in partnership with the School of Family, Consumer, and Nutrition Science. This program will allow you to identify food combinations that when eaten together will provide a balanced caloric intake each day while still giving you the option of eating the foods you really like. The “Healthy Huskie” program will be based on 2000 calories per day diet.
Ideas and feedback needed on future of the Holmes Student Center: go.niu.edu/myhsc
All NIU students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a newly launched survey about the future of Holmes Student Center. This survey is available until the close of business Friday, March 6. As part of Northern Illinois University’s Campus RE:ENVISIONED study aimed at revitalizing the central core campus, in conjunction with the university’s Bold Futures initiative, a team of design firms is currently working on envisioning potential future scenarios for HSC.This survey is a vital tool used to inform that process. Your input will help us understand what features and qualities are most important to you as we think about priorities for expanding and enhancing the Holmes Student Center. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. As a way of saying thanks, any student, faculty or staff member who completes the survey is eligible for a complimentary 16oz fountain drink courtesy of HSC Blackhawk Food Court. Click go.niu.edu/myhsc to take the 10 minute survey.
