Housing Addendum
The housing addendum linked below is part of your NIU residence hall contract.
You will want to check the addendum when you have questions about how
the residence halls operate on a daily basis. In your addendum, you
will find topics that will interest you greatly. You will also discover
other information that may not seem interesting to you, but which you
need to know for your life in the halls.
If you need to move in to your residence hall prior to the published
hall opening date, you may send a letter or email to the Residential
Administration Office with that request. There are specific dates set
for each semester as the earliest possible arrival time. The dates and
deadlines for each semester will be posted on the website at least 1
month before the beginning of that term. Only under rare circumstances
are residents authorized to return more than 1 day in advance of
official hall opening day. There is a $50 a day interim Housing fee for
students requesting to move in early.
