Huskie Helpers will partner with CAs during Welcome Week 2013 (Aug. 22-25) to encourage new students to get involved and participate in the fun and excitement of Welcome Week events. Please note that to be selected for this elite role you must apply and be selected as a Huskie Helper. We need returning students who are motivated, enthusiastic, and ready to get new students involved in all that Welcome Week has to offer! Apply to be a Huskie Helper today!
Who are Huskie Helpers?
We are looking for students that currently attend NIU and know the campus. If you are an incoming freshmen or a returning student looking to volunteer during move in day only, please check out Team NIU!
What do Huskie Helpers do?
Huskie Helpers are a select group of individuals who are assigned to specific residence hall floors and work with their CA to encourage the new students on that floor to attend Welcome Week activities. Our volunteers will receive training prior to opening day, will assist in welcoming new students to their floor on Opening Day (August 22, 2013), and will encourage our new students to attend Welcome Week activities (August 22-25, 2013).
