Ninth Annual Safety Conference

Homeland Security and safety training have never been more closely linked.  The Department of Technology at NIU hosts a Safety Conference each year on topics ranging from occupational safety and environmental issues to business continuity. This year topics focused on Homeland Security and the training of the next generation of Disaster Managers.

In conjunction with the student chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), The Department of Technology hosted approximately 90 students and faculty from NIU, University of Minnesota-Duluth, Iowa State, and Illinois State.
