The Events of 911, a Survivors Story

Chuck Carroll was working on the 105th floor of the South World Trade Center Tower when terrorists attacked the North Tower on September 11th, 2001.  His harrowing account of the events of that day reminds us of the importance of emergency management and business continuity planning.  Chuck’s presentation was filled with laughter, tears, and the constant reminder that the mistakes of the past can prepare us for the future.

Chuck was listed on the missing person’s list in New York for three weeks because the company for which he worked had no plans for operating under the distress an emergency causes.

As a graduate of NIU, Chuck established The Charles F Carroll, Jr. Technology Scholarship Fund to encourage students to become prepared in safety training.
