Hi! My name is Yessica Ramirez, I am currently a junior Medical Laboratory Sciences major here at NIU. After receiving my undergraduate degree in MLS, I plan on going to graduate school and acquiring my Master’s degree in Forensic Sciences. Later on hopefully working in a forensic/crime laboratory for some type of government agency, now whether it’ll be FBI, CIA, CSI, etc etc I still have not completely made up my mind. Needless to say on my down time I enjoy doing a wide variety of different activities ranging from simply watching tv shows like Bones, CSI, Criminal Minds, so on so forth  to being out in the wilderness all day biking, hiking, working out, etc etc. As one can clearly tell I am very outgoing and friendly, love meeting new people, have a great sense of humor, enjoy science and helping others out very much. Being my first year with the Financial Cents team, I am very excited and really look forward to helping others try to establish at least some financial peace of mind, so that they can focus on better and brighter things in their future.

This is Tyler’s first semester working with the Financial Cents program, though he joins with years of experience in the world of finance.  Tyler worked in the leading financial institution in his home town before coming to NIU to study secondary education.  Beyond Economics, Tyler is also studying history and political science.  He prefers cats to dogs, vanilla to chocolate and diet to regular Mountain Dew.  Tyler most looks forward to helping peers who are worried about money, and helping them understand what resources are available to them.
