Undergraduate Minor

A minor in Southeast Asian studies provides a unique opportunity for you to augment your knowledge, language skills and cross-cultural expertise in a region of increasing strategic and global importance. CSEAS faculty associates offer a well-rounded set of courses with primary Southeast Asian content to help you design an interdisciplinary minor that suits your professional and personal interests.

If you are pursuing a minor, you are encouraged to participate in a study abroad programs to gain firsthand experience in the region. If you have successfully completed one year of Southeast Asian language study, CSEAS encourages you to consider applying for a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowship funded by the U.S. Department of Education Title VI Program. To learn more, see Student Funding. You are also encouraged to participate in faculty research projects through the Student Engagement Fund and USOAR (Undergraduate Special Opportunities in Artistry & Research) programs.
