Texas State University-San Marcos

CSEAS is providing an expert resource person to TSU-San Marcos, through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Education, to help establish an undergraduate Certificate in Southeast Asian Studies. The CSEAS resource person will consult on development of the Certificate curriculum, including the following courses:

  • “Government and Politics of Southeast Asia”
  • “History of Southeast Asia”
  • “Strategic Communication in Asia”
  • “Women and Education in Southeast Asia,”
  • “Criminal Justice in Southeast Asia,“
  • “Family and Child Development in Southeast Asia
  • Internship preparation course, “Skills Set for Volunteers in Developing Countries”

CSEAS is playing the critical role of mentoring this emerging new program in the Southwest.
