The following is a list of all CEET scholarships. Only scholarships currently being awarded are linked to applications. Check back often for updates.

Scholarships for Currently Enrolled Students

Automation Direct Technology Fund

Full-time undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Industrial Management & Technology (CAD or Manufacturing areas of study). 

Joseph Bittorf Memorial Scholarship Fund in Industrial and Systems Engineering

Full-time or part-time undergraduate student at the freshmen or sophomore level majoring in industrial & systems engineering. 

Carter-Rodriguez Scholarship for Women in Engineering

Full-time undergraduate female student at the sophomore level, engineering majors only, demonstrated financial need, preference for minorities, from immigrant families, and/or first generation college student.

The Caterpillar Excellence Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate student at the sophomore level or higher majoring in the college. 

Dennis Cesarotti Scholarship in Safety and Industrial Hygiene 2013-2014

The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support towards tuition and other educationally related expenses for a senior level student who is seeking an undergraduate degree in the Industrial Management & Technology, Environmental Safety & Health emphasis in the College of Egineering and Engineering Technology, and preferably within two sememsters of degree completion. Application deadline is September 13, 2013.

Crane Composites Expendable Scholarship Fund in Engineering & Engineering Technology

Full time undergrad student in CEET, must demonstrate financial need, preference given to children of single parent families. 

ETAS Endowed Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate student at the sophomore level or higher majoring in the college.

Energy Systems Group Scholarship Award in Engineering

Full-time undergraduate student major in electrical, industrial & systems or mechanical engineering

The Romualdas and Nijole Kasuba Endowed Scholarship 

Full-time mechanical engineering student, junior or higher level.

Linn Engineering Technology Scholarship 2013-2014

Majoring in Electrical Engineering Technology or Industrial Management & Technology (electronics area of study).  Application deadline is September 13, 2013.

The Anthony L. Manne Scholarship in Engineering Technology

Full-time undergraduate student, senior level, technology majors only.

Northern Lights Ambassadors Application

Must be full-time sophomore, junior, or senior in good standing with the college who has GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must be available to attend events and monthly meetings on Mondays from 4-6 pm.

The Mullick Family Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate student at the sophomore level or higher major in electrical, industrial & systems or mechanical engineering.

The Max Zar Scholarship in Engineering

Full-time undergraduate student in electrical, industrial & systems or mechanical engineering, with senior standing by the fall semester of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. 

Navistar Innovation in Engineering Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate or graduate student, at least sophomore standing, GPA of 3.0 or higher, major in college - summer internship required.

NECA-Northeastern Illinois Chapter Scholarship in Memory of Peter Cattaneo, Sr.

Full-time undergraduate student major in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.  

NIU-NECA Student Chapter Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate student majoring in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology and current active member of the NECA student chapter.

Doc & Betty Newell Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate student in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology. 

Old Crows Windy City Scholarship

Full-time junior or senior majoring in engineering who demonstrates an interest in National Defense and academic excellence. 

OMRON Foundation Electronic Engineering Scholarship

Full-time undergraduate student in electrical engineering with junior or senior standing.

Road Builder Charities Scholarship

Declared major in the college, preference to Illinois residents and demonstrated financial need.

Winzeler Gear Technology Scholarship Fund

Full-time undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Industrial Management & Technology (CAD or Manufacturing areas of study).

Scholarships for new entering students and recruitment scholarships

ATF Inc. Scholars Fund in Engineering and Engineering Technology Scholarship

Incoming freshmen or transfer junior registered as full-time undergraduate student.  Freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 26 or higher and high school class rank in the top 25th percentile.  Incoming transfer junior student must have cumulative GPA of 3.25 (4.00 point scale) or higher.  Interview may be required.  This is renewable up to 4 years for freshmen and 2 years for transfer - summer internship required. 

Navistar Scholars Fund in Engineering and Engineering Technology Scholarship

Incoming freshmen or transfer junior registered as full-time undergraduate student.  Freshmen must have a composite ACT score of 30 or higher and high school class rank in the top 25th percentile.  Incoming transfer junior student must have cumulative GPA of 3.25 (4 point scale) or higher.  Interview may be required.  This is renewable up to 4 years for freshmen and 2 years for transfer - summer internship required. 

Arthur D. and Florence S. Graffam Engineering Technology Scholarship 2013-2014

First semester freshmen or transfer student, must be an engineering technology major which is different than an engineering major, visit the Department of Technology to learn more about the engineering technology program.  Application deadline is September 13, 2013.

The Caterpillar and Friends Scholarship Award 2013-2014

Full time undergraduate students in CEET, Freshmen and Transfers.  Application deadline is September 13, 2013.

Leadership Tuition Program

First semester freshmen or transfers, any major in the college, preference given to under-represented groups. 

Dean's Diversity Scholarship for Freshmen and Transfers 2013-2014

First semester freshmen or transfer student from under-represented group, any major in the college.  Application deadline September 13, 2013.



Other Scholarships Resources

NIU Alumni Association Scholarship

The NIU Alumni Association offers $2,500 merit scholarships available to continuing college students who are enrolled full-time at NIU for both the fall and spring semesters ($1250 each semester). Each applicant is eligible only to receive one Alumni Association scholarship per academic year.

ACEC Member Organization Scholarship Award

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL) conducts an annual scholarship program that provides a minimum of $11,500 in awards. ACEC-IL annually awards a $4,000 top award to an Illinois engineering student. In addition, a minimum of six additional $1,500 Named Scholarships are awarded. These Named Scholarships are graciously sponsored by ACEC-IL Member Firms.

ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Scholarship

Undergraudate and graduate students pursuing a career in manufacturing and processing engineering.  

GE/LULAC Scholarship Program

Full-time student currently enrolled in business or engineering and our classified as college Sophomores by the fall.

ICRI Chicago Chapter Scholarship

Student who has completed or will complete at least two years of study by the end of the summer towards bachelor degree program related to concrete design, materials, construction or any combination of these areas.

Army ROTC: Northern Illinois University

Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund - Various

The College Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to community college, four-year college and graduate students of Hispanic heritage. Award amounts generally range from $1,000 to $3,000.

Erma Byrd Scholarship Program 

The Erma Byrd Scholarship Program provides scholarships to individuals pursuing a course of study that will lead to a career in industrial health and safety occupations, including mine safety. The program has a service obligation component, which requires recipients of the scholarship to begin employment in a career position related to industrial health and safety no later than six months after completion of the degree program, and to continue to work in a career position related to industrial health and safety, including mine safety, for a period of one year. An estimated $1 million will be available for an estimated 110 awards.

Edward D. Hendrickson / SAE Engineering Scholarship

A scholarship created in memory of Edward Hendrickson, who was active in SAE.  The $1,000 scholarship is renewable.  Must be a US resident, have a 3.75 GPA, be in the 90th percentile for math and reading on SAT or ACTs, and be pursing an engineering degree.

Illinois Society of Professional Engineers - ISPE Foundation Scholarship

Two scholarships are available.

Salt Creek Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers

Engineering and engineering technology majors at sophomore, junior or senior level

SMART Scholarships (Science, Mathematics & Research for Transformation)

Established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories.

Society of Women Engineers - Quad Cities/Muscatine Section Scholarship

One scholarship is available for female junior or senior college students pursuing a BS degree full time. Applicant must be a paid member of SWE.  Applicant’s home address must be inside the SWE-Quad Cities/Muscatine section boundaries. These include IA zip codes starting with 527-528 and IL zip codes starting with 612.
