CEET Computer Lab Policies

  1. All of NIU Computer lab policies & NIU E-mail policies apply to all of the College Computer labs.
  2. Printing limit will be announced each semester. Do not exceed print limit by printing excessive material. Wasteful printing will result in an increase in lab fee.
  3. The internet access is setup for academic development and research
  4. Computer users must not reserve computers in labs for use. Log out of computer/workstation if you won't be using a it for more than 10 minutes. Do not setup window based passwords or screen saver passwords to reserve a computer.
  5. No computer games allowed in the lab, downloading software without proper authorization will result in loss of account privileges.
  6. Do not vandalize computers, deletion of files or movement of files or leaving of files in public directories is considered a severe transgression.
  7. All individuals will be held responsible for not following the CEET and NIU policies dealing with computers, software, e-mail and the entire range of information technology resources.
