Northern Illinois University - Enhancing Engineering Pathways (NIU-EEP) is a program funded by the Motorola Foundation to establish a sustainable pathway for the middle and high school girls through the Girl Scout organizations to the Field of Engineering. The program includes a summer camp and Saturday session throughout the school year. Green Energy (Middle School Students)
This week long residential camp on NIU's campus is perfect for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who can imagine a world where we spend less than $1 per day on energy.
Introduction to Nanotechnology (High School Students)
High school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior years can explore the amazing and dynamic world at the nano scale on the campus of NIU. This day camp is a week long and exposes students to this cutting edge field. Learn more!
Help students identify their weaknesses in algebra and trigonometry and increase their interpersonal skills by participating in study group activities. One to one mathematical support is also available. This five day workshop covers 19 mathematical concepts.
STEM Summer Camps
NIU’s STEM Outreach delivers off-campus programs and on-campus activities designed to increase science, technology, engineering, and mathematics literacy and enthusiasm among P-12 students, their families, and educators. This office provides a central place to find information on the numerous outreach programs offered by NIU’s STEM departments and the colleges.
