Robotics

Middle School Summer Camp

June 25-June 29, 2012

Participants learn how to build and program robots using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT Robotics system. Using the LEGO Mindstorms software, the participants learn how to make robots do basic moves, turns using only light, touch, sound, or ultrasonic sensors.

This weeklong camp includes these activities:

  • Simple controls
  • Interfacing sensors
  • Navigating mazes
  • Search for light

Participants interested in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO would benefit from this camp as it uses inventive and creative thinking to incorporate science, technology, engineering, and math into fun, memorable experiences.
