
Nanotechnology concerns the control of matter in the nanometer scale: one nanometer is one billionth of a meter, or 100,000 times smaller than a human hair. this cutting edge field has become an interdisciplinary STEM field.
The introduction to Nanotechnology Summer Camp is a week long day camp that provides a unique opportunity for high-school students entering their sophomore, junior, and senior years to explore the amazing and dynamic world at the nano scale on the campus of NIU in DeKalb, IL. This camp gives a broad overview of nanoscience/nanotechnology as a field with many career opportunitis. Students are able to gain a comprehensive understanding through activities that introduce them to the unique properties of the nanoscalre.
The camp fee covers all materials and supplies, daily lunch, snack and a T-shirt.
