Engineers-in-Residence program was primarily developed to bridge the gap between theory and practice and to graduate functional engineers from our engineering programs. Through this program, the faculty and graduate students of college of engineering and engineering technology partner with local industries solving real-life problems that are critical for them to remain competitive and successful in the global marketplace.
This partnership helps our graduate students to practice their technical skills on real-life projects, improve their communication skills, understand how the theory taught in the class can be applied to solve mission critical problems, etc. Most importantly, the partnering company also benefits through the research findings resulting in productivity gains, improved customer satisfaction, cost savings, etc.
