Greetings potential Huskies! I am going on my third year of being one of the Road Warriors for the NIU Office of Admission’s Transfer Center! I spend a good deal of my fall and spring semester traveling to the different Illinois community colleges as well as doing the evening college fair events. I thoroughly enjoy working with prospective students and their families both on the road and in my office, on campus, in the Transfer Center. I am very excited to be working specifically with transfer students and their unique inquiries and situations.
During my visits I will be able to advise students on how courses transfer, answer general questions about the university, and help make the transfer experience as seamless as possible. “The Northern Illinois University Transfer Center strives to provide outstanding service in a professional and friendly manner. When I am not on the road, or in the office, I find plenty of other ways to spend my time. I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Communication Studies, which does a very good job of occupying my time. I also enjoy taking my dog Wrigley to the park and spending time, doing various activities with my family and friends.
This is a great time for NIU and there are lots of exciting things happening on our campus. The best advice I can give to students who are aspiring to attend NIU is to plan ahead, ask lots of questions, and be persistent. Make your dreams come true at NIU! I look forward to meeting you.
