Hi! My name is Katy Saalfeld and I am one of the Transfer Center Assistant Directors.

The colleges I regularly visit include College of DuPage, Elgin Community College, McHenry County College, Joliet Junior College, and Moraine Valley Community College. Additionally, I visit Illinois Valley Community College and Sauk Valley College.
During my visits to these colleges, I will be able to advise students on transferring, answer general questions about the university, and help make your transfer experience as seamless as possible. Although I will only be visiting those schools I've listed, the NIU Transfer Center will be available to answer questions for all transfer students regardless of their current college of attendance.
I am very excited to be working specifically with transfer students and helping them out as much as I can. No matter where a student may be transferring from, it is important to contact NIU’s Transfer Center to get all the information they need to make the change from one school to the next a smooth transition.
