Hello. I have been on board here at the NIU Admissions Office since August 1, 2000, which officially makes me a crafty veteran in the college admissions game. To this day, I consider myself fortunate to have a great job that allows me to stick around a university that I am proud to have graduated from. I am also fortunate to be part of the most powerful team of super admission counselors ever assembled. Together, we will fight the forces of evil that keep you from making an informed college decision! Okay, okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. On second thought, no. It's true. We rock.

Currently, I visit a good number of the high schools in the Western Suburbs of Chicago (as well as Waubonsee Community College), and some schools on the South side, including schools in the Tinley and Orland Park areas. As a Rockford native, I am assigned to that city as well. I guess you can say that I'm all over the map.

On the topic of travel, some of the most important trips we take are the ones within ourselves. On that note, I implore you to take some time to get to know yourself, follow your heart, and life will take you in the right direction. Many factors fall into making the right college decision, and the most significant one is you. Try to remember not to take yourself too seriously, too. Applying for college should be an exciting time, not a stressful one. There's always a way to reach your goals.

I enjoy working with students and parents so feel free to contact me anytime. I'm happy to help. I hope to see you on campus.
