What advice do you have for future students? Be open minded. There are thousands of new experiences that you'll have in college. Get out of your room, get involved, meet new people, and enjoy yourself. You only get four years in college, so take some time to enjoy them.

What are 3 things you love about NIU? Location, location, location. NIU is in a great part of the state. While there is plenty to do on campus and in DeKalb, we are also a quick train ride away from Chicago and the suburbs. This makes it easy to head downtown for a day in the city or to catch a Cubs game!

The concerts. As a big music fan, it is always great to see your favorite artists right in your back yard. In the past few years, I have been able to see Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, Angels and Airwaves, Gym Class Heroes, and Drake, just to name a few. There are also tons of smaller venues around DeKalb to see some of your favorite smaller bands or even your classmates.

NIU Athletics. I can't talk enough about NIU Athletics: All the MAC championships, NCAA tournaments, Bowl games, and program recognition.

What is your favorite place on campus? My favorite spot on campus has to be Huskie Stadium! All home games are free, so the stands are always full of my fellow Huskies.
