Asian American Heritage Month: Taste of Asia


Date: Thursday, April 4: "Taste of Asia"

Time: Doors Open: 6:00pm; Program Starts: 7:00pm

Location: Campus Recreation 

Description: You are invited to participate in this year's "Taste of Asia" where we traditionally offer Hands on Experiences, Food Samples, and Performances that educate others about Asian culture. Participants will use their "passports" to visit various "countries".

Program will incude Speaker: Tereza Lee and youth from Chicago's Korean-American Resource and Cultural Center will be performing "Spoken Words".

12 years ago, Tereza Lee, a high school music student and undocumented immigrant faced deportation. Listen to this powerful story that inspired Senator Dick Durbin to author immigration legislation known as the DREAM Act.
